Staying true to myhopping from one blogging platform to the next every few monthstradition, I grabbed the posts I had inmicro.

Oh how I miss the good ol days, when there weren’t gazillion different “partners” monitoring every action you take on any given website.

The number of “0-posts, no-avatar” accounts spewing hate and divisive rhetoric in Instagram comment sections has gone absolutely wild over the past year.

Yeah, Meta doing what Meta does best I guess. I see zero (0) views on all of my posts on Threads (even those which have comments, likes, etc.).

Great work on the newMythos theme@Mtt! Now I want to fork it and do some tinkering, there goes the Saturday! 😂

A bit of an “apples-to-oranges” comparison, but just out of curiosity—here are the blog vs. Threads “views” from the past 30 days.

Any bloggers here from the Nordics (especially if you blog in your native language)? I’d love to check out how others approach personal blogging (and social…

Holy moly! Just rediscovered an archive of nearly 100 draft posts I once planned to finish and publish on nomadcouch.com — a blog I ran until 2012.

Oh, wait! Speaking about old domains.. this very domain actually turned 20 this year! How have I missed that.. Pop the champagne! 😃🍾

I sometimes find myself cancelling my Micro.blog subscription on a whim when I start thinking about blogging on a new platform (sorry@manton! 😅).

Re-evaluate

The recent events in the US have made me seriously re-evaluate the idea of using US-based services for web hosting, social media, streaming, and all that jazz.

Part of me thinks, now would be a good time to drop off the social media for an extended period of time (4 years, perhaps?).

I wonder if, 10 years from now, we’ll still be playing the “my platform just got rug pulled—where do I go now?” game.

Micro.blog might just be the last benevolent social network out there, when all the dust has settled. I mean, there’s Bluesky and Mastodon for sure, but..

I wonder how medium.com’s article discovery works these days, because it feels like.. it doesn’t? Wrote a piece and published it on Friday.

Oh how I hate those AI movie trailers that have infested YouTube with passion. Just saw another one, which I first though was a “real trailer” for an upcoming…

What a stunning Aurora Borealis week it was last week. One can never get tired of these views! 😍
